About Pellatt United Firefighters

Who We Are

The Pellatt United Firefighters is a team of volunteer community members who respond to fire and emergency first response calls. The team practices every Tuesday night all year round.

Volunteers

PUFF has a dedicated team of community members who take extensive training to qualify as fire fighters and emergency first responders. Training takes place once a week, Tuesday evenings, and must be attended regularly in order to maintain the skills necessary for the tasks.

If fire fighting and emergency first response is not for you, there are still opportunities to get involved.

A volunteer board runs PUFF. Board members and members at large work on committees dedicated to the various tasks necessary to keep the fire department operational. The committees are: Building, Communications, Executive, Finance, Fundraising, Vehicle and Training and Recruitment.

There are also times when a number of volunteers are needed for specific tasks, such as mailings.

If you wish to volunteer your time, please call the fire hall at 807-543-2601 and leave a message.

PUFF Fire Hall Map

Where to Find Us

Our Main fire hall is located on highway 641, approximately 3 km from the 596 turn off or 12 km from Hwy 17. The main hall houses two pumper trucks, a water tanker, emergency response vehicle and a Silverado 4×4 ¾ ton truck along with other fire fighting equipment.

We also have a second fire hall located on the Oldford Road however it currently does not house a pumper truck due to the lack of volunteers in the immediate area.
